Our Research Philosophy

1. Breeding of Catfish in captivity

I have bred the Catfish (Mystus aor) at my farm ponds
which is otherwise impossible due to the habit and habitat of this species. This species
comes under vulnerable species.

I have reared the Shrimp
(Macrobrachium rosenbergii) in the temperature ranging from 8°C to 20°C (November
2004 to January 2005) against its optimal temperature range from 21°C to 33°C in open
system without using any water heater or gadgets like.

I have bred the Catla (Catla catla) in the second half of March
which otherwise breed from July to September hence the technology gives fish farmers three
months more time to earn profit from fish and table fish.

I mono-cultured the Rohu (Labeo
rohita) and produced 8 tons in 7 months time by feeding thrice a day (I trained the fishes for
this technique) while the traditional method produces only 2.5 to 4 tons in 14 months long
period.

I induce breed the Common Carp
(Cyprinus carpio) and produce fish, which is otherwise impossible, in all 12 months of year.
• 1st to launch fresh water fish processing plant in India for making the value added fish
products like fish cutlet ,fingers ,etc and also utilize the fish waste to make fish silage , fish
meal and extracting fish oil form the fish waste.

After a feasible of 10 years I have
started with the frehs water fish processing plant here in Karnal-Haryana(India) to manufacture value
added fish products like fish fingers, fish cutlet, fish burger, fish tikka, crunchy fish and many fish
products in order to gain more profit instead of selling raw fish to the market and set an example for
other farmers that Fishery has also scope like other industries and we can develop it to a large
extent .And other then this I have joined near about 800 farmers who buy seed from me I buy back
the raw fish from them for the processing Plant to make products .

Integrated Innovations at Sultan Fish Seed Farm

🐎 Stud Farm – Horse Rearing

Horses are reared, trained, and cared for participation in state-level animal shows. Sultan Fish Seed Farm has proudly received official certification for excellence in horse training and care.

🐄 Integrated Dairy + Fish Farming

A modern dairy unit with 5 cows and 2 buffaloes produces 52L and 23.3L of milk per day respectively. Dairy waste is hygienically managed and diverted into fish ponds, promoting eco-friendly integrated farming.

♻️ Vermicomposting with Madhyam Slurry

An innovative Integrated Nutrient Management System using farm waste and slurry produces high-quality organic manure. This is applied to vegetables, flowers, fruits, wheat, paddy, and fish ponds—enhancing both yield and soil health.

🌳 Agri-Horticulture on Pond Bandhs

On 4 acres of pond embankments, improved fruit varieties like Papaya, Guava, Pomegranate, Mango, and Amla are cultivated. This not only adds income but also regulates pond water temperature and improves the ecosystem.

🐠 Ornamental Fish Seed Production

First in North India, Sultan Singh successfully breeds ornamental fish seed of 5 exotic varieties: Angle, Black Molly, Koi Carp, Gold Carp, and Suban-Kee. This innovation reduces import dependency and boosts the regional fishery economy.

🌿 Aquaponics for Double Yield

A revolutionary system where high-value vegetables like Red/Yellow Capsicum, Salads, Cucumbers, Cherry Tomatoes, and Broccoli are grown above fish ponds using waste thermocol floaters. Fish waste feeds plants and plants purify the water—enabling double income from the same land.
